2 Months

Our little man is now 2 months old!!!!  I can't believe how quickly time flies...Peytin had a follow-up appointment with the neurosurgeon and his two month with the family practitioner. The neurosurgeon reviewed the ultrasound to check on the fluid levels in Peytin's head and yet another miracle; the fluid levels have actually gone down! I can't even say how blessed we have been and how strong Peytin is! I just love him so much! He has to get checked once a month for the next couple months but then only every three months so hopefully he won't need a shunt. All signs point to not needing a shunt :-)

At the family doctor, Peytin weighed in at a whopping 10 pounds 11 ounces! He jumped from the 4th percentile to the 24th in weight! He is 22.25 inches which moves him from the 7th to 22nd percentile in length/height. He is getting so so big! We also discovered that his spit up issues may be because I feed him too much so back down to 3 ounces every 3-4 hours haha. He does spit up no matter how much we give him and no matter how long after a feed so the doctor is going to order a test to see how his digestive tract is functioning but he thinks it is just due to over feeding. We shall see. oopsy on mommy's part. I just figured if he keeps eating he must still be hungry but I guess not.

All in all he is doing so incredibly amazing! What a scary but fabulous journey it has been so far. I am very sad that I have to go back to work on Monday and miss all the fun time with my baby but glad he is doing so well and will be in such great care. Thanks to you all for everything you have done for us and our little man!

Peytin will be blessed this Sunday and Landin is super nervous as it will be his first blessing of any kind. Please keep Landin in your prayers that he might be at peace that he can do it because we all know that he can :-) It is also my family reunion with just my siblings and parents this weekend so we are excited to be with them even though Beth won't be coming nor Tye's girls or Corinne. Peytin will love meeting Nathan and Tyler. It should be a wonderful end to my maternity leave.
